Questions and Answers for HEPA-Net Air Purification Systems
Question:
How is negative pressure created with a HEPA-NET™ air purification system?
A) Negative pressure is created in a room with the HEPA-NET™ air purification system by exhausting the HEPA filtered air outside the room to an adjacent location*with more exhaust than supply air.
*Adjacent location will vary depending on regulations and restrictions that govern the facilities location.
Question:
How does the HEPA-NET™ air purification system integrate with my existing room?
A) A site survey by a HEPA-NET™ air purification system's application expert to measure, survey and calculate the room's current characteristics then formulate a solution by specifying the most appropriate system for room compliance.
Question:
How often does the HEPA filter need to be replaced?
A) HEPA filter life depends on use and environmental conditions. Every 7000 hours of use or every two years. Some areas will require more frequent HEPA filter changes due to increased activity and patient exchange rate, such as the Emergency Room. An optional filter pressure differential switch can be incorporated for optimal HEPA filter change out, based on pressure difference across the filter due to loading.
Question:
Do HEPA-NET™ air purification systems have(UVC) ultra violet light(s)?
A) Yes, all HEPA-NET™ air purification system have UVC lamp(s) standard or as an option.
Question:
How does the HEPA-NET™ air purification system maintain room pressure?
A) HEPA-NET™ air purification systems integrate with a room pressure monitor. When pressure is lost within the space the HEPA-NET™ air purification system is signaled to operate at full exhaust air capacity and an audible signal is emitted from room pressure monitor. Once pressure in room is regained, by closing the room door or window, the system will go back into a low exhaust air setting with a disabled audible alarm.
Question:
Who installs the HEPA-NET™ air purification system?
A) Installation can be completed by a factory project manager, that will use local contractors in the area when necessary. Or the facility can coordinate appropriate contractors to install the unit based on manufacturers specification.
Question:
How long does the installation of a HEPA-NET™ air purification system take?
A) This will depend on the room specifications like free space above the ceiling for ductwork, outside wall or roof construction when exhausting outside, wall type, fire walls, piping and availability of room. Typically an installation takes one day two days maximum. Some installations have been completed in four hours.
